Malacca Satay Celup - Ban Lee Siang

Satay Celup, or Sate Celup, is one of the Malaysian foods synonymous with Malacca. This Malacca food is known as Steamboat Satay and comprises an assortment of various raw and semi-cooked meat, seafood and vegetables which are placed in a boiling pot of specially blended peanut sauce to cook.

We decided to head for Capitol Satay Celup located at 41, Lorong Bukit Cina. However, we detoured to Ban Li Xiang Satay Celup after seeing the crowd at Capitol Satay Celup.

Fortunately for us, Ban Li Xiang occupies two shop units and though crowded, you are able to get a seat faster.

Ban Lee Siang Satay Celup

With prices of each skewer starting as low as RM0.50 (USD0.16), satay celup has become a popular Malacca food.

While in Malacca, do try this ever popular Malacca food delicacy. If you do not mind waiting for tables, you can try going to Capitol Satay Celup. However, we were more than happy with what we had at Ban Li Xiang Satay Celup and enjoyed ourselves.
