Jeta Groves - great tasting nyonya food in Melaka Raya
2 types of chendol are served here:- plain and durian
Plain Chendol (left) RM2.00 (USD0.64) - superb if you do not like your chendol too sweet and is served with a generous portion of creamy coconut milk
Durian Chendol - at RM3.50 (USD1.12) per bowl, this is a 'must have' if you are a durian fan. You get a big and generous portion of bittersweet durian flesh ... yummy yummy
Mee rebus (left) and mee siam (right)
Mee siam (thin rice noodles in spicy sweet and sour light gravy) - aromatic and fragrant, with just the right taste and texture
Mee rebus (boiled yellow noodles in thick spicy potato gravy) - a popular dish that normally gets sold out by about 1030hrs. The noodles used here is slightly different from that in Singapore and tastes better although hubby prefers the one back in Singapore.
Holiday travel tips:-
If you intend to try the mee rebus especially, it would be in your interest to call ahead and reserve the number of bowls required so as not to be disappointed

Note that although there is no air-con, this is a place that you simply must try for some great Malacca Nyonya food.

Different variety of nyonya cakes
Holiday travel tips:
Place on tables while stocks last, feel free to select whichever nyonya kuih that suits your tastebuds and pay for what you eat
We tried the rempah udang (glutinous rice with shrimp paste filling) and ang ku kuih (oval shaped Chinese pastry filled with salty bean paste and other types of filling) and found them up to standard!
