Resort World Sentosa - Crockfords Tower

Two nights stay at the Crockfords Tower in Resort World Sentosa, also known as the Sentosa integrated resort on Sentosa Island Singapore.  WOW!

This all-suite hotel is a 'by-invitation' only hotel.

Was originally planning to spend 2 nights at the Festive Hotel, compliments of my brother-in-law.  However, he received a call to be upgraded to the Crockfords Tower.  Was a wonderful birthday present for me... LOL.

The bathroom was equipped with a personal steam room, a huge bath tub, a 'magic TV', Bvalgari amenities amidst classic marble flooring.

The bedroom is elegantly outfitted in red and gold.  There is also a pillow menu where you can select pillows of choice for your comfort.

We had a great time and enjoyed the 24 hour butler service as well as the various amenities in Crockfords Tower, one of the Resort World Sentosa's hotel on Sentosa island.  Here, you can be assured of the best!

Sentosa sees 18% increase in visitors

SINGAPORE - The number of people visiting Sentosa rose to 9.2 million in the first half of this year. This represents an 18 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, Sentosa Leisure Group said.

Sentosa Development Corporation chief executive Mike Barclay said this puts the island on track to register 20 million visitors for the year.

Excluding Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), locals made up 49 per cent of visitors to the island, while four in 10 leisure and business tourists who visited Singapore also visited Sentosa.

Asian countries, in particular Indonesia, The Philippines and Malaysia, remain big growth markets for Sentosa.

The Sentosa Leisure Group said more options will be added to the island's range of leisure and lifestyle offerings in the coming months to position it as a leisure and lifestyle destination.

For example, Palawan Beach will feature an 800m landscaped walkway that connects restaurants and the food court, and is scheduled to open next year.

The centrepiece of the Palawan Walk is a water-play area built around the replica of a giant pirate ship, which also houses a children's club and a family restaurant.

A Family Entertainment Centre will also be built on Palawan Beach to offer more family-themed activities in the area.

Plans for Sentosa's intra-island cableway, which will enhance connectivity between the different clusters of attractions on the island, is on track for completion in 2014.

UNIVERSAL Studios Singapore - celebrated its official grand opening on Saturday with a grand procession of Hollywood 'movie-stars' and fan favourites.

Guest-of-Honour, Minister Lim Hng Kiang - Minister for Trade and Industry - joined chairman of the Genting Group and Resorts World Sentosa, Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, and Tom Williams - chairman and chief executive of Universal Parks & Resorts - to officiate the grand opening.

Singapore Marina Sands Integrated Resort Opening April 27th

Marina Bay Sands integrated resort to open in phases from Apr 27

SINGAPORE: Las Vegas Sands said it plans to open the first phase of its US$5.5 billion Marina Bay Sands development on 27 April 2010.

Sheldon Adelson, chairman and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands, said the integrated resort will immediately go to work by hosting its first event — the Inter—Pacific Bar Association’s annual conference — just days after opening its doors.

The second phase will open on June 23 as part of the grand opening. This will include the opening of the SkyPark and Event Plaza.

The dates were announced in a statement by Las Vegas Sands on its website.

In October, one of the property’s two state—of—the—art theatres will welcome Disney’s The Lion King. The second theatre, which will also open later this year, will be home to a variety of special events and famous headline acts.

The iconic Marina Bay Sands museum is expected to open by December. It will not only feature international blockbuster exhibitions, but it will also serve as a symbolic welcome to guests — with its unique lotus—inspired design — from around the globe.
