The iconic features of the Gardens, the Cooled Conservatories, are the jewel in the crown of the gardens, and appear like an exotic outcrop on the edge of the Marina.  The Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest represent an innovative amalgamation of architecture, structural ingenuity, environmental engineering and landscape design.  They showcase the application of sustainable energy solutions and tell the story of plants and their intimate relationships with man and the ecosystem.  At the same time their 2 Hectare area offers a spectacular visual and spatial experience for visitors.

Replicating the cool-dry climate of the Mediterranean and semi-arid sub-tropical regions such as South Africa and parts of Europe like Spain and Italy, the Flower Dome boasts a permanent display of such plants as well as a changing display field that enables flower shows and displays to be held within the Conservatory.

Marina Bay Sands Water Light Show

Recently whilst we were spending the night at Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, we chanced upon the Marina Bay Sands cutting edge light and water show which is held at the Event Plaza, next to the newly opened ArtScience Museum.

The Light and Water show is a nightly multimedia extravaganza featuring laser, light, water movements and graphics and is aptly titled "Wonder Full".

Lasting less than 15 minutes, you would be entertained with giant water screens and enjoy the vibrant multicolour high powered lasers, search lights, spot lights, fountains, surround sound, strobes, bubble factories, LED lighting, high definition video projection and special effects.

A performance worth watching!  Enjoy this spectacular show free of charge.

Fridays and Saturdays: 8pm, 9.30pm and 11pm.

Sundays: 8pm and 9.30pm
