While we made arrangements to spend our wedding anniversary at The Banjaran HotSpring Retreat in Ipoh, Malaysia, we had to decide how to travel from Singapore to Ipoh. Should we make the 9-10 hour drive up to Ipoh or take one of the Firefly Airline flights from Singapore to Ipoh direct.

Firefly Airline flight from Singapore to Ipoh |
We finally decided to save some time and did a Firefly online booking for the 1.5 hour trip from Changi Airport Singapore direct to Sultan Azlan Shah Airport Ipoh.

At Singapore Changi International Airport waiting for the Firefly flight |
We were amazed to see the small Firefly plane, an ATR 72-500, with its 2 propellers, something we had never seen before.

Interestingly, we board the plane from the back instead of the front. :)

Although just a budget community airline, we were served refreshments as seen above.

It was an uneventful journey and fortunately we did not experience much turbulence. Soon, we arrived at Ipoh Sultan Azlan Shah Airport as scheduled.

A new experience indeed on our fight from Singapore to Ipoh via the Firefly Airline and another amazing experience awaited us at The Banjaran HotSpring Retreat in Ipoh.
