The Japanese Garden in Singapore is located in Jurong East, thus commonly known as the Jurong Gardens.  Built on an artificial island in the Jurong Lake area, the Japanese Garden is connected to the adjacent Chinese Garden by the Bridge of Double Beauty.

If you are fortunate, you will be able to catch sight of the squirrels.  Here, we saw a squirrel hanging upside down from the tree with just its hind legs and using its front legs to hold the banana, it started to peel off the banana skin before eating the banana.  Interesting...

The cattle egret can be found returning in the evenings to their nesting area on the other side of the lake.
