We woke up early to catch the 0700 hrs shuttle from Courtyard @ Marriott Minneapolis St Paul Airport to MSP International Airport and as we were already checked in since yesterday, we only needed to go through security with the same North West Airline boarding pass.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International has been recognized as the 3rd Best Airport in the World among airports serving 25 to 40 million passengers a year. MSP also ranks as the Best Airport in North America in that size category.

Once there, we used our balance meal vouchers for a Subway breakfast before going back to the same gate as yesterday to check on the status of our flight’s departure which was tentatively placed at 1000 hrs.

North West Airline also had some biscuits, yoghurt, fruits and coffee/tea plus a variety of soft drinks for the delayed passengers to help themselves.

Finally soon after 0900 hrs, there was good news when they made an announcement that the plane was good to fly and we finally took off at 1045 hrs. This time, everything turned out well and proved to be a smooth journey.
Overall we felt that North West Airline did their fair share in handling the technical delay. However, as there would be many disgruntled passengers due to the changes, it would be wise for a senior person to be on hand to help make some decisions that the junior staff are unable to handle. We also felt that more could be done to help passengers with onward flight connections on airlines not associated with North West Airline.
