16 Days Europe Vacation Package Day 4

16 Days Europe Tour – White Christmas Day 4 Florence to Pisa to Venice

Leaving the Wall Art Hotel Prato after breakfast, we had the children as well as some adults learning to 'smoke' in the winter weather.

Leaving Florence, we made our way to one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pisa, the Field of Miracles.

The four main attractions in the Field of Miracles include the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Pisa Cathedral, Pisa Baptistry as well as the Campo Santo or monumental cemetery.

Pisa Baptistry

Campo Santo

The square in which the Field of Miracles is located is next to the oldest medieval city walls built in 1155.

In 1998, due to the tilt, nobody was allowed to go up the Leaning Tower of Pisa as it was considered too dangerous until after restoration works were done.

It was a very interesting visit as the buildings look magnificent and if you have some spare time, you can watch tourists in various poses trying to blow down the tower or holding it up!

Holiday Travel Tips:-
If you would like some unusual pictures, you can always get the cameraman to get a picture of you blowing down the tower or, if you prefer to be Hercules, then hold the tower up to prevent it from falling...  :)  It can be fun!

Next on the itinerary was the city of canals: Venice.

Venice in Italy comprises of more than a hundred little islands in the Venetian lagoon, interconnected by more than 150 canals. The city of Venice remains the main hub of the Italian culture.  Visit Venice Day Tour for more pictures on our day out in Venice including the gondola ride that most tourists will go for.
