How time flies… It is October already and again, we have a total of 9 family members on board the holiday cruise ship Star Cruise Virgo for this weekend. Mother’s legs are still not very strong, so again on this cruise, wheelchair has to come to the rescue. And once more, we saw many handicapped in wheelchairs on this cruise. We also realized that the main reason why there are so many handicapped on the weekend cruise is due to the fact that this is one of the best casino cruise ship around this part of the world. In addition, this weekend, we will be celebrating a birthday, a 30th wedding anniversary and the moon festival on board.

We boarded the Star Cruise Virgo just before 1800 hrs. One of the cruise staff wheeled mother in her wheelchair past immigration and all the way onto the ship. We proceeded to Deck 7, the lobby, for the welcome drink before heading for our balcony class cabin on Deck 9.

In this restaurant, you can have a choice of either Chinese or Western set dinner. We had the Chinese set meal which comprised a total of seven dishes.

The pork ribs soup was served hot and it was very tasty and full of flavour. The steamed prawns were big and very fresh, steamed to perfection. The roasted chicken was well marinated although we had the breast portion which is normally a little tougher. The deep-fried pork ribs tasted a little sweet although some of the family members liked it. The dessert was quite yummy too.
For this cruise, we had another birthday celebration. As usual, the waiters and waitresses joined in with the birthday celebration. We were blessed with a nice and light sponge cake topped with fruits.

The safety drill for all newly embarked guests was carried out at 2020 hrs on Deck 7 at The Promenade. As it is compulsory for all passengers to participate, all other services were closed during the 10 minutes drill. After the safety drill, the Star Cruise Line departed

After settling mother in the cabin for the night, we went along with some of the other family members to the Casino on Deck 8. Although we do not gamble, we watched the others playing The Casino War, one of the easiest games to learn to play. In this game, the players and the dealer each receive one card. Each player’s card is compared to the dealer’s and the highest number wins.
We then passed by Bellini, the

And before you know it, it was time to retire to bed on this first day on the holiday cruise ship Super Star Virgo. If you like to gamble, this is one of the best casino cruise ship around as the casino is big enough for the gamblers, yet the ship has lots of other activities for the non-gamblers. A good mix which is why many handicapped love to cruise on this casino cruise ship during the weekends.
