Though we are not sure of the names of most of the flowers but thoroughly enjoyed the wondrous beauty and hope you do too...

Interestingly, the following four pictures come from the same plant.
Here is the flower bud of the torch ginger, commonly known as the rojak flower as it is a common ingredient indispensable in the making of rojak and laksa, popular dishes in Malaysia as well as Singapore.

In addition to the above flora at the Banjaran Hot Spring Retreat in Ipoh, we were also wowed by the Herbal Garden. Never knew that some of the very common plants that we know have medicinal properties... A real eye-opener especially with the informational signages.
