Amsterdam Pancake House

Amsterdam Pancake Bakery

Whilst we were in Amsterdam on our Europe vacation package, we were brought to an Amsterdam Pancake House to try the special pancakes in Amsterdam.

Hungry diners

For us, pancakes are only served at breakfast and it was unusual to have pancakes for lunch, let alone a complete dinner.

Hot soup to start the meal

One of the famous "international" pancakes whose ingredients are based on various dishes from all over the world.

Condiments to go with your pancake

The Pancake Bakery began as a small pancake restaurant in 1973 with a basic menu. In 1980, the owner (still the present owner today) introduced several changes that made The Pancake Bakery what it is today: a world-known pancake restaurant loved by all.

Ice cream with the Christmas feel

We understand that there are more than 75 different kinds of pancakes and omelets served at this Amsterdam Pancake Bakery!

Decor in Pancake Bakery

There was a mixed reaction towards pancakes for dinner.  Our group was quite happy that we managed to try something different.  After all, if we are in Rome, we should do as the Romans do...  :)  Moreover, the pancakes tasted quite delicious too!  Guess we are more adventurous.  However, when we bumped into some other groups at our hotel, we heard them complaining about the pancake dinner.
